jpreeder Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 I have a 1994 gmc k1500 with the 350 with 160,000ish miles I plan to replace the intake gasket this week i've been getting some coolent leaking into one of my cylanders. i've been told this will fix my problem, but i was wondering how hard it would be to replace my head gasket too and if it would be wize to do it now when i have it torn apart.
1997SierraSLT Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 I'd start with the intake manifold gasket set first as this is typically the primary cause of coolant leaks. Replacing head gaskets is not a common occurance for these engines unless you've overheated the engine.
