Still rather difficult to remove a damn grill

Vehicle design is only about how efficient / cost effective it is to assemble... not the other way around. ha

My dealer swapped my Z71 grill for a chrome one in less then thirty minutes. Of course this wasn't there first rodeo.

Why did you have your grill out

-Removed headlights to experiment & added HIDs

-Changed stock grille to Denali

-Added factory tow hooks

found the tabs on the top to remove the cover.. Than there is 4 bolts on top.. 2 clips in middle... Each side.. Now there is 4 on bottom.. (10mm each) Can't get to... Read some where that says you have to Pull the painted peice off above bumper....

Yep. Start by removing bolts that hold painted trim in wheel wells (Silverado probably a little easier since you don't have black plastic fender flares).

Start pulling from corners to release snaps. Once you've got them loose to about the headlights, STOP! Slide under the truck head first where the front license plate would be. Behind the bumper about a foot up you'll see large painted plastic tabs (the lighter your paint, the easier they'll be to spot). If I remember right, there are 5 of them. Starting from one side, release them from under the truck & give each a slight push. Once all are loose, you can easily finish removing the trim standing in front of grille.

*Note: in the very beginning, after you pull back the corners, wrap them in a rag/towel. They flex/bounce around a bit if you're doing this job solo & can snap back against the paint. I found this out the hard way the 2nd day I had my truck. Put a 1" scratch on the fender!

(attached pics are GMC, not Chevy)

Your a savior!

I like those also, easy install? Do you have them wired to come on as DLR?

TIA,

Mike

yup, i have them wired it as DRL.. They're only on when the key is on position and dim when they parking light is on to reduce the brightness
