Ok so its my last yr of school.  Well its not mandatory but its a good idea to take the E.I.T. (engineers in training) exam so in the future i can get a P.E. (professional engineer and i can tag it on at the end of my name Ryan PE haha  :D ).  Well last yr the fee was $20.  Ok this is understandable except today we get the form and the 2 in twenty is scratched out and made into a 5 so its $50.00 WTF  :uhoh:  :D We are poor college kids i feel like i am getting raped more and more.

All I have to say is i better pass this darn thing if not ill be  :(  :(

Ryan have you bought the study book for the eit yet?  A guy I know took his some years ago 4 or 5 and the study book was very expensive!!  Just thought that I would help send you over the edge here a little bit.

Don't feel bad.  I've already had to take one test that was $75 ($25 per section), plus $35 for regisration just to get into the program I'm in here at school.  And now I have to take one that is $150 ($70 for one section & $80 for the other) plus $35 registration in order to get my degree.  AND if I fail either part I only have to take the part I fail again, but it still pay registration too.  And my wife has to take all of these too.  I'd be tickled to death with a $50 test that was optional.

As for the studt books, we can't afford to get them.  If we fail any part then I guess we'll try to get them for the parts we need.

Once you pay for the exam the study book (book of equations) is free WHOOPDEEDO haha.  You can use this book on the test (i think the book in itself is worth $50 it has every engineering equation known to man

$50 now?  wow.  I guess I can't remember what the examination fee was when I took it.  Seems a bit higher that I remember though.

That test is fun.  lol.  Get familiar with that book and it's really not too bad.  You won't think it when you come out of there and your mind is jelly though!  After it was over, we (my engineering buddies) headed straight across the street from the campus to the local pub to "relieve some stress".  whewee.   :uhoh:

The pub sounds nice.  This is an easy semester but i am spending all of my time at school.  I didnt have class but i was there from 7am til 5:30pm  :uhoh:  :D

almost 3 months to the day when we are done!!!

Good thing you're not trying to take it in Texas.

I know the SIT (Surveryor In Training) exam costs over $100 to take here so I can only imagine how much the EIT exam would cost.
