Cracked spark plug...

My 85' Blazer had gone from bad to worse, started missing bad. I started checking things out and could not figure it out. Ended up taking to the shop. They found the misfire on #6 due to a cracked spark plug. I didn't check the plugs at home because I just pulled all 6 not too long ago and all was well. Anyway, just glad it was something simple. My shop is so cool they didn't charge me a dime!

Anyone else ever have this happen?

I've had cracked plugs before, but always in race cars that were stressed in really weird ways. That is one of the most frustrating problems to find.

You have a good mechanic. Treat him well. I've only seen a few that will help you for nothing anymore.

You know, I do have an awesome shop! They have always treated me right. :thumb:

More bad news to report though. It ran great for a day and is now cutting out under acceleration. Man, I don't know what it could be, I'm gonna work on it tomorrow morning. This is getting very frustrating, one thing after another.
