How long did your truck sit at the VDC before delivery to dealer?

My truck has been sitting at the VDC since exactly a week ago. They have no idea when it will be delivered. Delivery was expected today and knowing that it was 20 miles away at the VDC a week ago I assumed it was only a few days and would come early. WRONG.

Is it unheard of to sit at the VDC without movement for two weeks? I have to make quite a few arrangements to go get the truck in the first place, and was needing it for the end of this week but the dealer can't help me as they just say "We're not sure when it will get here" thought I would reach out to see how others were handled.

Mine arrived at the VDP on Monday and was delivered to mydealer on Thursday. It's pretty hard to understand why yours is going into the second week. I sure something happens soon. I know that has to be pure hell knowing iit is located so near but yet so far. Keep us informed.

Lady on the phone corrected me to VDC from VDP.... She must have been new. Made me think I was wrong!

Yeah, I have been on limited productivity Friday and today as I assumed I should be planning to head that way.... But apparently not.

Okay thanks, my vehicle is been sitting down at the vehicle delivery center( about 30 miles way) going on one week as of today. I was told that they're waiting for a vehicle transporter to fill up before it's delivered.

Ridiculous. They should have many full loads by then.

My truck arrived at the VDP on 11-4 in Garland, Texas. My dealer here in Decatur took delivery on 11-9. So 5 days.

My patience is running thin. You'd think they wouldn't shut down the VDP for nearly a solid week while the dealerships were only closed Thursday.

this is slightly off topic, but there is a huge VDC off of I-95 just outside of Chester, PA. I drove past it Saturday, and there must have been 2,000 vehicles on the lot; there was not an empty spot on the yard. I have driven by it literally hundreds of times in my life and I have never seen it so full. Don't know what's going on but based on that it might not just be GM having issues getting their vehicles to the dealerships.......
