Nice work. Another clearer shot of that grille please.

I'll try and get one tomorrow. It's snowing here and truck is dirty so I normally don't post pics of it dirty! Ha. If not I'll get one soon when it is clean. Maybe this one will work for now. This was before I did black tow hooks and the center bumper piece and then the rigids.

Nice work. Another clearer shot of that grille please.

Thinking of going along those lines for my front grille. I think I want to stick with the DENALI chrome look, but nix the GMC emblem so it's cleaner. Your ride looks very tied together with that rigid fogs that couple with your light bar [emoji106]

Nice work. What size and brand is that? How are the results? Can you throw up a picture just alittle further back from the front of the truck please?

Thanks. Its a 30" curved from Totron. This thing is freaking bright! I'm very happy with the purchase.

I did this about a month back and found that it is actually pretty easy. I do have a few reccommendations though.... Buy a wireless remote/harness. Then you don't have to bother running wires through into your cab or mounting a switch. Also, you can program your remote to your garage door opener for a cost of around $50 CAD. It was a no brainer to me.

As for mounting the light, I just drilled holes in the cross braces that are behind the grill and mounted to that. The light I bought was a curved 33", and it just happened to line up perfectly to the spot in my grill.

Taking off the grill isn't actually that hard. I just watched a youtube video and had it off in less than 20 minutes. 4 bolts on top, 2 on either side by the wheel well, then 4 underneath (2 of those are a bitch to get at). I've had it off twice now, so its getting easier.

Hope this helps.

Took your advice and I think it is going to be way better. Started doing it this weekend but ran out of daylight before I got the grill off. The 7mm bolts on the side are super tight and I can't get a wrench or a socket up in there.

Paul,

would you be able to post a brand or link to the setup that would let me use my home link buttons as a driving light control?

Most wireless controllers will let you. You'll just have to hold button on the wireless controller and on the home link. I have a lot from Ebay that worked just fine and a buddy of mine has 2 harnesses that are both hooked to different home link buttons

Has anyone used the Putco universal mount behind the grill?

Here is a link to it: http://www.realtruck.com/putco-universal-led-light-bar-mounts/R184129P2014Y856MA.html

Kind of expensive for behind the grill in my opinion. I used a 3 foot 1x1 aluminum tubing painted black for about 12 bucks and just bolted it to the arms holding the radiator. Actually mounting the light bar was the easiest part to me, it was getting the grill off and on that took some time.

Has anyone found a pic or have a Tow hook light bar mount? May have already been one on here, but I don't recall seeing one. I've seen a ton for Dodges, but none for the new chevy. I don't like the behind the grill look personally, and don't want to drill into my bumper or buy a $1,000 grill and think the tow hook look is clean.

Just FYI, it'll interfere with the front license plate.

Here's how I did mine:
