It seems several of you bought the wrong truck. I can say from my experience as I am currently looking at buying a new truck, if you are happy with the vehicle you currently have, don't confuse necessity with nicety. Personally, I am taking my time to ensure I buy the truck I want, will make me happy and works for me and my family. To the OP you have a serviceable truck with low miles, don't let the emotion so of the new car smell drive your decision....something one of my older wiser friends told me, they build thousands of these trucks a months, they will build more....no need to feel the pressure of buying now.

To those who swear up and down that you are driving the worst pile ever built, have you worked the route of having your truck return through your state's lemon law? I know it's tedious, but if your truck is that much of a nightmare, going through the process will pale in comparison of turning the key to your $40k - up regret. Last, from being on Chevy, Ford, Jeep and Toyota forums, I've found most of the complaints come from buyers regret....the buyer didn't do their due diligence during the buying process, whether they overpaid, settled, or flat out bought the wrong vehicle for their needs and realized it after, every squeak rattle and burnt out light will weigh more and more on you. Every car maker has issues. Currently on the Tacoma, there are many complaints on rusting frames on the current generation, even after Toyota did the massive recall and buy back on the last gen truck. Also the weak leaf springs, Toyota is still installing the 3 leaf pack on Tacoma's rolling off the assembly line, even on the TRD packaged Off Road. Forums are exactly here for this reason to gripe about the little things we experience, take most of it with a grain of salt and objectively determine what you can and can't live with. To those with issues, sorry to hear about your bad experience, hopefully all gets worked out to your satisfaction.

Best of Luck

I'm enjoying mine.. No vibrations or anything else people are having problems with. Granted I only have 77 miles on my odometer; I'm still getting 14-15 mpg in the town and 23 on the hwy.

My neighbor, who has a sierra is enjoying his also. He has an early build date and has zero problems.

Mine has a build date of 06/13 and I am super pleased. I have 6500 on my ODO and would buy it again!
