All Terrain Truck Tire?

33" tires are tall enough. I don't need any tires wider or heavier than stock. The bfg aren't on to the list even though they were great on my last truck. They are to heavy and stiff

I am looking at some of the same tires, I want to ditch the goodyear LS2s as soon as I get the truck. My brother actually want to buy them so it will work out good. I will be leasing my truck so I don't want to level it or go aftermarket tuner to correct the tire size.

The question I have that I haven't seen anyone post with is will a set of 305/50/20s clear on stock wheels without a leveling kit? They are really close to the same diameter as the stock 275/55/20s but just about an inch wider. If I would have thought about it I would have looked closer when my salesman dropped off the truck I got to test drive and as he put it "fondle" LOL

Anyone have any experience with the Bridgestone A/T RH-S?

My dealer is 'willing' to buy my SRA's off me for $100 a piece (800 miles on them), so the Bridgestones will cost me $140 plus tax/installation... I'm not happy they aren't doing a swap, especially when they tell me just how bad the SRA's really are.

Is it worth the $700 or so it's going to cost me?

You have a lot of good choices there. I'm on my third set of Toyos (two trucks) and they are by far the best tire I've ever had. They are almost like a mudder, but they are still quiet on the freeway and give great performance off-road, in the rain, and in the snow. On my last truck they lasted 55K miles and still performed like new. They also come with a tread wear warranty (which they exceeded) and a money back guarantee (from Toyo) if you don't like them. I have always had Discount Tire special order them for me because it's worth the hassle.

In case you're wondering, I first started using the Toyos on my 07 Tundra because they were the only ones who made a 35" A/T that would fit on the stock rims. Sure they had a good reputation, but it was really dumb luck that they performed so well. Once I learned how good they were, that's all I've bought since.

By comparison, BFG A/T KO (not on your list) is highly rated and popular, but they sucked. They were half worn after only 20K miles, and their performance was noticeably off after those same 20K miles. I actually ended up unintentionally going off the road into a ditch with the BFG's driving in the snow. So I ditched them for the Toyos and have never looked back.

Good luck with whatever you choose. The only other ones from your list I would consider would be the Michelins. I had them on an 01 Silverado with great results, even longer tread life than the Toyos. Depending on your needs, they might even be better for you. Do some research on Tire Rack and Discount Tire for customer reviews to help you decide. You won't find as many reviews out there on the Toyos as the Michelins, but everyone I know running the Toyos raves about them as much as I do.

BTW, Toyo will give you great customer support and recommendations on what air pressure you should run. Mine are a little bigger than the ones you're considering, and both Toyo and Discount Tire recommended I run 50F/45R empty and 50 all around when fully loaded on my 14 Sierra. I haven't done any heavy loads my first 12K miles so I've been at 50/45 and getting great results, just like I did with my Tundra.

Sorry if I was a little long winded. Enjoy your truck. There is more info in my signature block.

Daniel or anyone that can add their experiences with this tire, I am curious how the ride is on the Toyos? I have Cooper Discoverer ATP's (discount tire exclusive) currently and am not a huge fan of them. I would like to get the Toyo AT2's in a 275-60-20 which are p-metric and are only 43lbs a piece. I would say I would use them for 97% highway/around town, and the rest taking gravel trails to fish etc. I like the mileage warranty and looks a ton but was curious how the ride was. I know comparing a p-metric to an LT is apples and oranges but if you are happy with the ride of the LT's, then the P's should be great. Thanks in advance for your help!

I like the Toyo AT on my 08. They gave me about 60,000 miles for each set or more. I'll probably get the AT2 for the 2014 I have now.

Guess the Toyos improved. I ran them on my last Silverado in maybe 2006 and they did good for a little bit but once they were even half worn they were crap in rain and snow.

Great ride and life from the Toyos. I had two sets on my Tundra, and am now very happy with them on the Sierra. Every time I go in for a rotation, Discount Tire is amazed at how well they are wearing.

Thanks for the insight Daniel, I greatly appreciate it! Did you by chance get the tires from Discount Tire? I know they don't carry Toyo but from what I have heard they can order them (haven't spoken to them directly yet).

Yes, I always order them from Discount Tire. Don't forget to get a matching spare if you go oversize. My wheels are 20's, the spare is a 17, all Toyos, same height, the width of the spare is almost identical to the four main tires as well. Saves the cost of buying a wheel for the spare, and yes, the oversize tire fits in the spare wheel well with room to spare, pun intended. Enjoy.
