Tell me about it.... It was a custom grind cam from KHP in the RGV and tuned by Tellez Motorsports.

Its all the rage in the valley.... Custom grind cams just for the sound. Tbh.... Thats why i want it too.... Just reliability on these DI engines with a cam is my main concern.

To my surprise, these engines are built pretty solid. Even trannys are holding up good under improved horsepower. Only thing I would recommend is if you go with some cams, do it right and get forged rods too. Might as well since you'll be in there. I think you'd be fine should you go that route.

I like it!!! Its going to be loud with my headers.... LOVE IT!!

My friend had a 18" on his sierra with a cam and oh my god... This is what mine will sound like eventually

Holy cow! That sounds awesome!

I went with a tip that i thought was going to be more hidden than it is... I like it alright but i'm a little unsure about it, only because I haul around some expensive bikes and on a hitch rack i'm concerned that the pipe coming out the back would potentially be too close to the wheels and melt the carbon fiber on the wheels...

I am contemplating going to a 4 or 5" tip out the side similar to the one in the video. I like that look a lot.

I'm looking at changing out my muffler from the off-road one I had knztalled4. (Only 50$) to a Flowmaster. I can't chose between 50 series heavy duty and 50 series delta. Would anyone care to shed light?

There isn't much of a difference other than the heavy duty is more designed specifically for trucks... but from everything i've seen, dyno results included, the flowmaster is pretty restrictive because of the chambered muffler design.

Some of the mufflers people are talking about on here have more of a straight through design, giving much better flow through the entire RPM range.

FWIW I just got a 14" Magnaflow and love it.

I didn't want too much noise and would like some backpressure. Something just better quality

Go with either 18 or 22" magnaflow. Flow masters drone like crazy. Made that mistake once.

What model or series? I don't know much about magnaflow

Here's a sound clip of my truck when I had the 18" on there. It is not as aggressive or loud as the 14" I have on there now and is very pleasant at highway speeds and normal driving. The part number for this is in the info on the youtube video.

This isn't my truck, but here's 22" magnaflow. Very tame. Might just be what your looking for.

Try playing it through your truck speakers

Word that's a good idea

I've got a good video of my 14" too on my youtube channel.

I'm gonna put a video of mine on YouTube and compare thru the speakers to get the best comparison

Does the GM borla sound as good as the magnaflow? Wish they were done with the same camera on YouTube. Hard to tell a difference

Someone else can chime in on this as I don't have Borla, but I know its a very high quality kit and comes with a price. In my somewhat extensive research to find just what I was looking for, my findings on Borla was that while it sounded great, it wasn't the tone I was looking for or loud enough for my taste. They might have different sizes, I can't remember. When I was at the shop waiting to have my muffler welded on, they were putting a full stainless borla system on a 2015 Yukon Denali. I heard it when they were finished and it had a nice deep tone, but just wasn't all that loud.

So to really answer your question, in my research I think the 18" mangnaflow and Borla sound very similar. I think the magnaflow is a little louder. 14" magnaflow is definitely more aggressive and louder than Borla.

Hope this helps in some way.
