Got the single exit system. Part # 615628. Autoanything.com had it on sale for 30% off when I purchased it. The drone/chopper isn't all that bad. Before I would just feel it, now I hear it.

Awesome! Thanks for the info. I thought about it during the 30% off sale and didn't pull the trigger. I'm torn between this and just having a local shop put in a Magnaflow and cut out the flapper and resonator.

Just finished my LTs, ORY, and 22" magnaflow to a 5" tip and its absolutely perfect. I had an aeroturbine 3535 with the LTs at first and was horrible. Terrible drone, raspy as Fk, switched it today and I can hear myself think now!

Corsa Sport Exhaust installed last month sounds great with no problems. Tightened clamps a little with 1/4 inch ratchet Thanksgiving and again few days ago with 1/2 inch drive. As others have mentioned a little loud cold start and assume slight popping is normal while decelerating. Just hear a low rumble on HWY with trans in 6th but in 5M very noticeable. Corsa to me has more of a Glass Pack sound compared to others and makes a warble sound in V4 mode. Range made a huge difference but quit working so sent it back last week. Range Tech just sent message Module has been serviced ,updated to Series 7 should be here Saturday

I have talked to a couple of shops in my area and they are all $325-$400 for Magnaflow custom duals. I was questioning the difference between the 14" and 18" and one of the guys told me most people wouldn't be able to tell the difference between them. I'm assuming he is talking about in the cab? I would think there would be a pretty good difference outside or with the windows down. Anyone have first hand knowledge? It's really hard to tell from YouTube clips.

Im torn between the 14" & 18" right now too. Or even the Borla XR1. Ugh

Here you go. I started with 18" and switched to 14". Cab sound is about the same. Outside the 14 is a more aggressive sound and a bit louder. Very pleased with the 14".

Thanks, I had seen your 14" vid but not the 18". Definitely think Id want the 14" out of the two.

Now to just decide between the 14" and the XR1. Was kinda waiting to see what results came out with the muffler trial in this section before making a decision.

Both sound really good. Do you have the 5.3 or 6.2? Also, yours looks like single in/single out. Will dual out make much difference?

I cut everything out after the 3rd "Cat" and replaced it with just pipes. It is slightly quieter than my 2008 Silverado with flowmaster super 40s. Kinda sad but these trucks are quiet.

I'm thinking next step is going to cut the 3rd "Cat" out, long tube and highflo cats but it might be too loud, anyone done this yet?

I was also thinking just doing the Long Tube Headers and keeping the stock cat, just have to relocate the existing cats to fit the header. I've done a lot of research and it's all over the place on how much HP gain Highflo is compared to the stock Cats.

I've got the 5.3. Muffler is SI/SO and has no difference in performance or sound if you go SI/DO. I just did SO because i wanted it to run the same route as factory.

Looking into adding a 40 series or 10 series flow master with turndown in my 2014 5.3 Sierra. Any advice on which might be best? I did hear there is sort of a drone when in v4.. Any advice is helpful. I do a lot of high way driving. Want to sound aggressive not overly annoying when I have my daughter

What muffler does magnaflow use on their cat backs. 22"? Safe to assume the 18" weld in set up would be louder?

Not 100% sure on that, but it should say on their site. I would assume You should be able to get a full system with the muffler of your choice. I could be wrong tho.

For what it's worth, if you just buy the muffler alone and have it welded on and then run the pipes the way you want, it would be much cheaper.

Has anyone compared the performance differences of doing SI/SO to DI/DO or true duals?
It would seem obvious to me that true duals would be the best bet, next to straight pipe... But I've been wrong before.
So I wanted to see if anyone has researched this.

    • Atlas,   Then following your logic we can't believe any story that the MSM produces? I mean it's documented they heavily donate to Democrat candidates. Vote Democrat in high percentages. Many MSM talents are married to Democrat politicians, Gov. employees. That goes for on-air and off, personalities and reporters. So they would all be biased and nothing they produce is to be believed in your mind?   Again the article simply was about ways AI can be used for pricing products. Nothing discounted current situations as a factor.    Again keep looking through your left/right lenses. I don't live my life that way.   And as a heads up this thread will be cleaned up again as much of this is off topic and is receiving
    • Yes, and only a couple years before delivery. 🙄
    • So you're saying toss the baby out with the bathwater? @txab posted article was her take on how AI can be used to manipulate pricing as it already does and has been rebuked by the judiciasry in housing. How AI can be and is used to maximize refinery or even Amazon operations all of which are true but because she is who she is; that makes what she says about what is true, false? Is that something akin to Pre-justice aka prejudice?    Look, I'm first in line to approach all information with caution just because we live in a world where people like to lie about someone or something with such a straight face and in such volume that it makes digging to the truth wearisome. Meaning I understand the skepticisms but if I were to toss out everything a person is for a view they hold then my pool of people to draw wisdom from would be non-existent and I'd be forced to reinvent the wheel daily. Not practical.    "Be innocent as a dove but as cautious as a serpent."    Test each word. Every good lie is part truth or no one would believe it. Find the truth in it and reject what isn't.    On this one, AI is being used to do what has been done by hand for hundreds of years already but at such speed, the point of a computer, that it is more easily monetized. This one wasn't that hard a lift.    I wrote a few formulas in a Lotus 123 program decades ago, a series of linked Macros actually, that allowed a daily inventory to be turned into a running P&L and production plan. Something that took three departments a week to assemble now took the time it takes to input the 'daily changes' in inventory. Later that was ungraded to the more powerful Excel program an and integrated with bar code scanning, inventory to supply was done once per shift. It had a huge impact on production scheduling, Seamless interruption flexibility, inventory error reduction, raw materials cost effective utilization and scrap reduction. Huge improvement in the bottom line. I spent months on that and AI could have done it in minutes. So yes, it not only can be used, they would be foolish to not try. The legality, ethics and morality are not the domain of AI. Humans need to keep a reign on it.
    • New to this forum.  Also looking to tune a 6L80 and trying to work out all the issues in my transmission swap.  I have a 6.2 diesel (1983) and have removed the TH-400 and about to put in a 6L80 with a TCM-2600 interface and don't have a clue what I doing after that.  Did you (Leatherneck/RAV3) get your slip resolved? I too hate to spend that kind of money on a tuner that hopefully I will not need too many times although from what steelerdude15 added about the HP Tuner being great for diagnostics would be a plus.  I am also from WNC but below you in Columbus.  Any helo would be greatly appreciated.
