Idk.... But i nailed it yesterday and it bogged a bit and i looked down at my tach and the traction control light was blinking on dry payment.

It was because i have agressive line pressure in my tune. And boy does my truck let u know when iys changing gears under heavy acceleration!! Under "normal" driving it feels stockish haha

If you want a different truck get it tuned... No joke it feels much better and the transmission now knows what gears to be and stay in. If you have acess to a local tuner use them, in person tunes are the best you can get. If you dont then go with black bear.

Figured numbers would have to be atleast in line with old LS gains and I know good tune always brought out the best in them. I dont mind how it drives now so Im letting warranty run out. Ill be at about 70-80k miles when I hit the 5 years on powertrain. Then Ill def tune, headers are tempting.

To be honest the ecotech 5.3 puts out more power then the LS 5.3s of the past, its about a 40hp difference right off the bat plus mods.

Ehh i dont care about the warranty.... If it brakes replace it with something better i always say.

But yes whenever you decide to it will be worth it. Also dont run headers without a tune.... I mean you can but to get the best out of them a tune would be beneficial.

I am interested in getting a new exhaust because I want dual cat back but I'd like to avoid the drone. Should I stick with the gmc borla then? Exhaust really just impacts the sound right and does nothing for performance or does it? Because I'm the future I would like to get headers on my truck.

My advice is, if you dont want drone is to go with maybe the touring borla or the GM one since they are the same just one has the flapper. God that stock flapper is crap but thats just my opinion.

The Volant catback that i had before the headers was very tame and didnt drone very much. All aftermarket exhaust systems will drone just the amount that they drone is subtle. I knew the volant had a tad bit of drone but ut was drowned out by my agressive tires so all was good. Honestly i do recommend the Volant. It is a corsa just made of 409 stainless vs 304 and half the price. Very easy installation and a solid unit. I recommend it to everyone who will not run headers . If you saw my first video you will hear the difference between the two before and after the headers.

Headers will deff amplify the volume. Exhaust alone will net u a little but performance but nothing really noticeable. Headers are where you notice more of a low end loss but a midrange and top end pickup but, apart from 1 7/8 primaries i also went catless.

Thanks for the info. I have to think what I want. But I will take your information in consideration.

You're catless headers though. I bet cats will tame down the Volant a lot.

I know going LTs with cats to no cats made my G8 louder and stinky (in a good way to me).

Gave the muffler to the exhaust shop for a nice discount on the magnaflow and kept the tubing and welded the magnaflow into place. So i have 3" stainless steel tubing.

Figured it would, going to see how bad it is and buy a range device if it bothers me. They hold value so when I get a full tune I can sell it later.

Leaning towards spintech or borla muffler but not sure yet. May end up with wheels and tires similar to yours too, method wheels in 17/18 look great on these trucks.

I wanted Borla or Corsa. Couldn't find Corsa muffler anywhere alone. Then, Borla I could only find center in/out, which doesn't work with the Dynomax setup, unless you want to bend it on your own.

They have some that have offset. Here are some at link below.

This is probably the right one with slit to slip on. Looks like itd be a little short though so need some extra pipe.
