They are 20x10 Moto Metal wheels with 35" Mickey Thompson's. Has. 7" McGaughy lift. I had to cut 1" exactly on the front lower plastic spoiler. After that, no rubbing at all.

Thought I'd throw another one into the mix since I've recently joined the SIM Club. Here's my Silverado 5.3L LT. Had it less than two weeks. I LOVE the paint scheme ... I think the SIM looks great with the color matched grill surround and black bits from the rally option. (I axed the stripes)



BUT ... has anyone else noticed a blotchy appearance in certain lighting conditions? I first noticed almost a tiger stripe effect along the top of the bed in my garage. And then I started looking real hard in the sun ... the hood almost looks faded the blotchyness is so bad! It's on the roof as well.



I'm really not sure what to do. I took it by the dealer and the service mgr said it looks fine to him. Anyone else notice this?

Here's another shot of the hood. Note that the truck is freshly washed and waxed and the hood is reflecting a clear blue sky.

 

From what I've gleaned from the net, this effect is somewhat inherent in metallic paint in general ... with some cases worse than others. I know I'm a picky sob but this looks like crap, IMO. Am I expecting too much?
