I don't have the truck yet. There is a function that shows you are in 1,3 5 ,2 46 or whatever gear the transmission has you in at the time? That's cool. I can't wait to check that out.

an air cleaner cover with clear access to the screws. just wait until you try and that hard line is just in the way of the screw closest to the cooler. And who thought it was a good idea to zip tie a harness to the cover with a firtree clip that has to be replaced each time you change the airfilter

I love my new truck too, I'd like to b able to turn the cargo lamp on while driving, and, I'd also like to see an in dash indicator that would signal on, if your tailgate was open.

Factory HIDs with HIGH quality projectors like the Caddys!

Air ride suspension like Ram (or even just rear to help sagging when hauling heavy loads)

Smart Key (Key fob in pocket, auto unlock, auto lock and push button/turn-key ignition) - heard it's coming?

Auto-locking tail gate (Avy/EXT)

40GB+ HDD for Media/Documents accessible via bluetooth/usb

**Panoramic sunroof?!** - don't really need that in a pickup but man would that be sweet on the HC or Denali's!

More of a dream list than what i'd LIKE to see; other than that...I'm quite happy with the HC!

LED interior lights re done they are extremely dull poor light

Heated seat switch relocated as you can,t see it as its blocked by steering wheel

Rattle behind Mylink on washboard gravel did they actually test these off road

Smaller key fob that thing is friggin enourmous

4x4 indicator on the dash is that really difficult

Quad headlights on Silverado may look cool but you can't fit a squeegy in to clean them

A real body side moulding.

DIC that shows how many litres/gallons used like last gen trucks.

More aggresive throttle tip in this truck feels like a real dog 5.3 3.42

With GM add in Canada saying they put on 21,000,000 kms of testing how do they miss this simple stuff

I have the same set up as you, and for the record-I am a performance Junky. My 5.3, 3.42 4x4 Silverado is far from being a dog.

didnt want to make a new thread. Does the 2014 have a cabin air filter? My 09 did not and where I work so much dust and dirt came in thru the vents. I would rather change it once a week than not have one.

If not thats what I really wish they had.

Re diannabill: It does not tell you what gear you are in. Very helpful when driving in manual etc...

Adjustable performance modes, ie... eco, sport, tow, or something like that. Very easy to do.

Adjustable suspension modes, again easy to do with GM's mag shocks, and a very big benefit to the variable needs of a truck.

I'm coming off an LML so to me it feels like a dog .Half the torque less 1 ft lb.Like another poster said add a sport mode ,eco mode

Wish it had an original tonneau cover with liner like the avalanche.

Wish it had the wipers sensor like the avalanche.

Wish it had back seats climate control like the avalanche

WISH THERE WAS A 2014 AVALANCHE :(

Hey New2GMC who started this thread.

It does really seem like GM has no regard for regular cab owners. The fact that you can't even get a rear slider for a regular cab is beyond dumb. They easily could have given another 2-3" more leg room or seat adjustment and kept the design lines and wheel base very similar. I agree with you that the center console has to be elbow comfortable. Worst of all for tall drivers who are already at the end of legroom/seat travel, the rear of the headliner has bubble that eats up the headroom. This by the way was a problem in the previous regular cab.

My other complaint. If they made a 5.7 motor available , yes a 350 , just how much extra real world fuel economy would we lose compared to a 5.3. A half MPG. I'd take 380hp and 413lbs and a smiggen less fuel economy any day, and be able to say I have a proper 350 under the hood.

The bean counters at GM must assume they will lose money on reg cab market. Cannot think of any other reason they ignore that segment of market? But know Ram does build a customer base out of selling the Express package reg cab that is definitely cheaper than the larger cabs out the door. Getting younger buyers in your vehicles that may be their first new purchase will bring a repeat buyer for more expensive trucks years down the road.

No need for a 5.7, they could get to that or near that hp with their current motor. Seem to remember when the 1999 5.3 came out it was 270 hp. Some complaints later the 2000 year had 285hp. Do not remember if they had to change the EPA rating back then or not?

IC, I guess if I compare this to my supercharged 650HP 2SS Camaro, or my wife's 325HP turbo charged Malibu, it's a dog. For the record: I am unsure what an LML is.

Pretty sure he Is referring to a Duramax Diesel motor.

"LML the cleaniest Duramax in history; it is also the most powerful, with 397 horsepower & 765 lb-ft of torque"
