Chrome hood protector

Did anybody get the OEM chrome hood protector on theirs 14 silverado? It looks to be pretty sleek, and I don't mind the look but would like to see some more images.

Sleek would be going and spending the same amount of money on a good quality clear bra strip for the front of the hood instead of a tacky hood protector that was relevant in the 90's lol

but when a rock hits the clear bra protector and still dent's your hood what was really the point of applying the tape... I know it helps with chips but does not nearly protect the front like a hood protector does... I'll stick with the 90's as long as I don't have dents on my front end.
