Posi Rear diff swap

I have a 95 z71 with a 350 and could use some help picking a posi rear diff cause I don't have tow/haul mode and want something that both tires will spin when I want to go slide around a corner or have a bit of fun (stoplight take off's included)

Tow/haul has the locker to hook up posi and help with hauling, towing ect. but in general it's a pain when I start to slide (whether on purpose or by accident) it would be a bit nice to not have the stupid bouncing feeling when the a$$ end slides out

Tow/Haul has nothing to do with whether or not the truck is equipped with a locker in the rear (different than limited slip, aka posi, by the way). Tow/Haul wasn't even available until the 1999 model year with the introduction of the GMT-800.

Also, keep in mind if you're wanting to minimize sliding while cornering, the addition of a locker can cause the pickup to slide easier once traction is lost as the rear now has the ability to fish tail instead of powering one tire while the other attempts to keep the pickup tracking straight. Just some food for thought.

Well I can tell ya a posi rear will disengage if the rear tire speed is above 25mpg. Any posi wont last long on the treatment you want to give it.

Again tow/haul has nothing to do with the rear, it changes shift patterns in the trans.

And that's why I suggested the Yukon locker to him. It unlocks at low speed turns so you aren't bouncing the rear in wet cornering situations.
