2006 trans into 2001 direct swap?

Will a 2006 4L60e 4x4 trans be a direct swap into a 2001 4x4? Is there anything different or do I need to change anything to do the swap?

I know they changed from a direct cable system throttle body, to a drive by wire system in between those years, and am not sure if the trans had different inputs from the two different systems. As much as I want to say its good to go, I would call a local trans shop to see. Good luck.

i doubt it ,,,,,,but check connectors first ,check with a GM parts counter and see what RPO they both are ,bring info off of both trannies to the counter with you
