Once you beef em up a little bit and put a shift kit in they are good trannies. I like the gearing in them actually, only wish I could downshift beyond 80. RPM's I guess get in a funky spot and won't shift into 3rd with these 4.88's haha

My 60 still shifts great. I would bet most of the people who have issues have a lead foot and perform no tranny maintenance. That or miles, you can't expect any piece of complicated machinery to last forever can you?

I believe the first part of the second sentence is true for me lol
