Antilock brake system activating when turning

When I turn and press the brake and sometimes when I'm going straight the antilock break system activates where it pushes the brake pedal up and vibrates as if the wheels are sliding on ice or mud. What causes this problem ? Has anyone else had this problem?

First thing is scan it for ABS codes. It may help narrow things down. It can be several things

I think the abs will throw codes without triggering a light might want to get it scanned

Scan and probably abs sensors.

If a wheel bearing is going it can set off the light. It happened on my ol ZR2.

no lights no alarms just physical reactions... could air in the brake lines cause this? ive recently had them replaced so that could be a possibility.

You don't have to get "lights" to set codes. If there are codes it may help narrow down the problem

 

Check with a scanner capable of reading ABS codes.

 

It could be bad wheel speed sensors or wheel bearings or......
