Can't you just use the switch? The manual on my '13 says if you switch off the auto feature the DRLs go off. Of course you have to turn your headlights on yourself when it gets dark. The '14s may be different and I don't think that works on a truck originally sold in Canada.

no i dont want to be having to use the switch every time i get in the truck, and the reason i don't like them is they cause headlamp fogging in places as hot as i live (phoenix az) in my 04' escalade it was simply a relay labeled DRL RLY, and in a 06' bmw it was DRL there is nothing like this in any of the fuse boxes + if you cannot see a white truck midday you should not be driving

Just look in your manual. I disabled mine bc I installed HID's

I just ordered an HID kit so I want to disable my DRLs as well. No where in the manual does it tell you how to disable them completely. I too do not want to flip a switch every time I get in my truck. KMT15 - How did you disable your DRLs? Do you have a 2014? Any help is greatly appreciated.

On the 2011+ GM trucks the day time running lights are the low beam bulb at a reduced output (probably a resistor in line), it is not a seperate bulb that can be bypassed.
