Chirping belt, replacing this weekend - Dayco vs Gates

Come on, guys. No love for over 100-year-old, Made in America Dayco?

All kidding aside, my name is Brian and I'm the Marketing Manager for Dayco in North America. We believe our belt, the Dayco Poly Rib W Profile serpentine belt, is the solution to noisy belt issues. I won't go into all the marketing jargon here, but I will offer the person who started this thread a belt to give Dayco a try. Our belts are built for high-mileage drives and will solve noise problems, as long as your drive system is aligned properly. I also use Dayco on my own truck, a 2003 Silverado with over 140,000 miles on it.

Also, belt dressing is very bad for today's serpentine belts. Belt dressing makes the rubber compound swell, which will eventually make that belt squeal even louder.

Brian, nice having you here. Next time my truck needs belts (most likely my parents' truck, which is my former truck with 186k miles on it) I will use Dayco, just because you were decent enough to make a pitch for your product and give out a sample.
