Order finally accepted!

I ordered my new truck on January 23. Checked with GM Live Chat yesterday and they advised that the order has finally been accepted by GM! Only took 4 weeks! I asked when it was accepted and was told it did not matter and to check back in 7-10 days for a TPW and then they disconnected....

I Guess I will check back next week and see what they say. Here's hoping for some awesome incentives to come in the mean time.

I am finally going to right the wrong that is the 2010 Tundra I bought when GM was in turmoil and their interest rates (In Canada at least) were 7%.

My wife will never let the "I told you, you wouldn't like that truck and you should just buy the GM.." go.

Seems kinda rude of the Chat people. Congrats on the order! I think it really depends on the dealer ordering. From what my salesman told me they have to wait for GM to allocate openings for them to put the order in. I ordered on Jan 31 and it was the 12th before mine was accepted as the Wed of the prior week they didn't have enough units to order for GM to accept. As in maybe they have to meet a minimum, i'm thinking. It finally was accepted on the next Wed which was the 12th.

I was not impressed by them at all. Canada does not have a method for tracking order status online like I am told the US does. Kind of odd since they are all coming from the same places. I am ok with it taking it's time to get here. Allows for me to save up for the mods :)

so when i bought my 2014 sierra it was the first truck that i have ever bought brand new and i got 8 grand off msrp. but in the future i would love to special order a truck. my question is, and this may be a dumb one but I'm new to this, is if you special order what happens do you pay full msrp price? or when do you talk price?

You can negotiate a price once the order is created; however, you are eligible for the rebates that are active when the vehicle is delivered.

...or you can lock in the rebates/promotions that are available when you place the order.
