Running with No TPMS...

Have a chance to trade my 2012 z71 18s for a set of 20s factory wheels, Only thing is is they dont have tpms sensors. What will my truck do without them and how much can I get sensors for? Would this be a good trade?

Meet at a tire shop and have your sensors swapped, a new set from your dealer will be around $250.

Will my truck set a code with no tpms? Im going to get mine taken out then do the trade and have them put back in the new wheels

seriously the only issue should be the TPMS light on the dash. I would just buy some and add them on

Ebay is a decent place to find sensors.

I swap some Winter tires on our Vibe for cold season driving. These are mounted on wheels without the TPMS. I just have the yellow caution on the dash, which goes away after I put the Summer wheels on.

 

I will probably do the same with the new Sierra.
