"2 Keys Programmed" message

Hi all! I was driving along tonight and I got a "2 Keys programmed" message. Anyone have any clue what this is?

Pretty sure it just means that your vehicle currently has 2 programmed keys that will start your vehicle. I think each vehicle will allow up to 10 programmed keys. Your truck is telling you, you currently have 2 keys programmed.

 

If your wife, kids, grandma, etc... also routinely drove your truck, you could have them all with their own set of keys programmed to the truck. The truck tells you how many keys are programmed for it in total.

How did you get it to do that? If it popped up on its own without you going into the settings then you might need the dealer to do a reflash..

Any unusual things that you have noticed, maybe you are getting like 50mpg or maybe the engine stopped puffing black smoke on startup?. What was that movie where the kid broke his elbow then he could throw a fast ball that nobody could hit was it major league maybe? See your truck may have a broken elbow and be able to do amazing things here......... All joking aside I would for sure stop in and have them do a reflash. Your computer may be having a conflict.
