Nice set up and sounds great! :)

Oh, I think I see a spot of dirt in the engine bay! :jester:

Now to treat that tranny to some quality synthetic fluid to help keep it cool.

Thanks man! I just don't have any idea where I would be able to find synthetic fluid like that. Lol

I did buy a trans cooler, but I haven't installed it yet.

I'll be curious to hear your towing experience with the new setup. I'm especially interested in heat/temps while doing it. You probably don't have any mountains to climb, but that's the condition that concerns me most with a SC. I wouldn't be too worried about something breaking, so much as IAT's rising to the point that the increased compression is more-or-less cancelled out. The inter-cooler should do it's part, but I have no experience. I know that under high heat conditions, *everything* gets blistering hot, so even the intercooler may be working against the system (cooling the air, but heating air going through the radiator, etc). Heck, I've read a few reports of Ford's Ecoboost overheating on long grades under tow, and going into limp mode... and those things are tuned for 87 octane (timing dialed back).

I sure will. We don't have any mountains, but we do have a number of long grades and Texas heat. If temps become a problem I will add a meth injection kit.

Brief update for those following. I had the truck dynoed last week. I wanted a baseline run prior to changing pulleys.

I made 451hp and 500lb/ft of torque at 5.5-5.8 lbs of boost and 60% humidity. My plans are to install a boost gauge on Wednesday and then I'll change pulleys later in the week and re-dyno. I should pick up another 4-5 lbs of boost. That should equate to an additional 80-100 hp at the wheels. We will see.

Very cool...you have my attention as well!

Any chance your dyno printed a graph?? Would really really like to see the off idle torque...up to around 3K rpm...

I don't have a print out. I forgot to ask, but I will make sure to get one when I change pulleys and redyno next week.

I can tell you that it's a beast at low rpm. Rear tires don't stand a chance. It is a challenge on the dyno to get good real low rpm numbers because you have to ease into the throttle or it down shifts.

I can only imagine! Looking forward to your numbers.

How was the install? I'm guessing fairly straightforward with a quality piece such as the magnacharger...

Install is time consuming, but very straight forward. Magnacharger gives a great step by step instruction manual. The kit contains everything you need except tools and antifreeze.

Any updates??

Sorry for the delay. I have a semi-update.

Installed the new pulley and went in to get dynoed. Got a lot of knock retard through the run and really bad at upper rpm. I'm not sure if bad gas or tune issue. I data logged and sent justin info. He adjusted the tune and had me change spark plugs. It runs noticeably a lot harder. Haven't been back to the dyno sense. Even with the knock retard it picked up 15-30 hp and torque through the range.
