I'm wanting to limit the spending to around 100, here's the three options I've found:

1.)

GeForce 4 Ti4200

64 MB DDR

>$108< (best card)

2.)

GeForce 4 MX440-SE

128MB DDR

>$112<(good card, best Graphic memory)

3.) 2 things:

GeForce 4 MX440-SE

64MB DDR(worst card option listed)

AND

512MB SDRAM memory

>$117<

My system is a 700 MHz Athlon with currently 384MB of memory. If I go with #1 or #2, I'll just get a 512MB stick when the price goens down

Depends entirely on what you use the computer for.

I still use a GeForce 3, and it keeps up with anything I throw at it.

But I'm not an overclocker, or a gamer.

If you are a gamer...I hear that the ATI stuff is blowing the GeForce stuff out of the water these days.

If you are a gamer, go for option 2.

If not. I would go for option 3. The extra memory will help you out quite a bit.

I use Toms Hardware for research on stuff like that. They have a great forum there too.

Also I would look at the other options on the card. Such as Video in/out cabablility, software bundle, company history, etc. (I bought a card once and they went out of business a month later...No tech support, or warranty.)

It mainly depends what you are using your computer for, #'s 3&2 are equal to the geforce 2 series. #1 is really nice but isn't going to be much better than 2 and 3 since your computer is 700mhz. The best choice is probably #2.
