Has anyone bought the Matte Black bug shield from ERG? If so do you like it? How's it look?

GM Chrome Bug Deflector - Anyone have one?

 

Tried to order one from our delear but they have been on back order since early Feb, with no info as to when i could expect shippment. Started looking at other chrome models but will wait if the GM unit is worth it. Does anyone know how it is attached?

I got the (AVS) Aero-skin Hood Deflector - Chrome and it looks very good. It was cheaper to purchase it from an outside vender than through the Chevy Accessories site. Chevy sells them but it is not a Chevy product.

If you are not sure, buy the gloss one and I will send you a piece of matte black vehicle wrap vinyl, it will take you 10 minutes to wrap and if you don’t like it rip it off!

I ended up going with the smoke Areo Skin My truck is black so it sorta blends in with the hood. I wish I would have bought it before the chips in the hood though.

Anyone knows of one that attaches without double sided tape. I bought an AVS Aeroflector 2 and it mounts solely with tape. On my 2011 it had screws and adapters that mounted to the underside of the hood..

I think the AVS Bugflector 2 is what I'm going to buy. I talked to their tech support this morning and the said it bolted on with mounts under the hood.

I just checked and it was the bugflector 2 that I ordered. I returned it because it mounts with the tape and doesn't bolt on.

Here is the video that shows how to mount it and there is no tape. I wonder if you didn't have the aero, it tapes right on to the hood. I know this is from 2012 but it is the video that they link to for mounting. I just ordered one and will update when it comes in.

I had the AVS bugflector 2. Part # 25121. It mounted using clips and tape. Thankfully Amazon has a good return policy. I had the same one for my 2011 and it bolted on.

I guess I'll wait and see for sure what I get. I just called them again and they said there were 4 screws and 4 grommets that attached it to the underside of the hood and there were also some stick on bumps to keep it from hitting the paint in the wind. I'll update when it comes in.
