Perfect! When the time comes I'll be searching for one of these since it sounds like they are only good for the month in which you print it.

None that I know of. it is registered to you w/ an authorization code, and it is for that vehicle they specify. I finished my negotiations on my LTZ and then told them and it was no skin off their nose because it is paid by GM.

Not quite.

It depends on how the current cash incentives are coded by GM.

For instance, back in February, when GM was running its Presidents Day Sale, they were offering a total of $3900 in cash incentives on a new 1500 4wd Silverado.

GM broke up that $3900 into three differently coded offers.

Consumer Cash $1400

GM Bonus Cash $1000

Presidents Day Cash $1500

GM coded the $1400 Consumer Cash rebate as a private offer during the month of February. GM only allows 1 private offer per vehicle purchase. So you could either take the $1400 Consumer Cash or you could use your $1000 private offer popup coupon, but not both.

I'd be shocked if GM wasn't using the same tactic now.

I think the coupon is good to have in hand for negotiating, and for playing one dealer against another, but probably won't save you any money you couldn't save another way.

private offer for 1000

Yeah, I understand that.... did you do anything different than the process outlined herein to obtain that private offer?

Used the Private Offer in March that I could not use in February, Presidents Day Promo Month. There was Auto Show Cash avaliable February as well.

Thought it was crazy that for March "Truck Month", they actually reduced incentives, when they were still sitting on a pile of unsold trucks.

I stacked it with the incentives, including the $500.00 Cobalt/G5 recall incentive, did my homework, and bought an "Old Build" (pre-Oct 15th 2013 price

hike ) truck. Saved me another $1500. Those are hard to find now.

Silver lining for buyers? There's STILL a glut of unsold trucks out there.

So this private offer, does it just show up on Chevy's site or anyone have any luck on GMC's site lately?

Going to prolly get a 2014 1500 next saturday, so looking to maximize on rebates.
