Just got a buy back, not technically but the dealer worked the $ to be the same, on my poorly performing 2014 1500. The new truck is awesome and already getting about 3mpg better than my 2014 with the 3.08 gears. Some of the 2014 issues like radio reception seem to have been solved as well. I'm happier.

What issues did the 1500 have if you don't mind me asking?

Dash warping when warm and rattling, the radio reception is much better, garage door opener works at a distance instead of having to be 2 inches away from the door. Biggest issue for me was the fuel economy, but this new truck isn't comparable since it's diesel and weighs 1k more pounds, but so far it's better in mpg.

How painful was the exchange process? Did you contact GM or did the dealer just work it out? Im starting this process and could use any info. Thanks

Dealer just worked it out. I really appreciate that they tried so hard to keep me happy. There is almost no such thing as customer satisfaction in this area of the country and I am tired of being angry and feeling ripped off.
