I was wondering if someone could tell me the answer to this. I have a buddy of mine that has 20" XD wheels and nitto grapplers on them. They are off of his 2013 Dodge ram 2500 diesel. They are exactly what I'm looking for just the wrong bolt pattern. Therefore i was wondering; would i be able to adapt these wheels to fit my truck? I see that you can buy wheel adapters to adapt 6lugs to 8lugs but would they fit on my truck after i adapt them or would the truck have to have a lift or something? I mean could i buy the lug adapters, bolt these wheels on and then just drive like normal? looking for all the help i can get here.

my truck is a 2014 chevrolet silverado crew cab LT 4x4, the truck the tires/wheels are off of is a 2013 Dodge ram 2500 diesel.

any help would be greatly appreciated!

Just get the proper wheels for you rig and be done. The amount of customized work you are talking about will likely cost a lot. Not to mention the safety risks involved with trying to put on wheels not made for your truck.

You would need to know several things:

Width of the 8 lug wheels

Offset of the 8 lug wheels

Thickness of the adapters

IF (big if) the width of the 8 lug wheels and NEW offset (thickness of adapter would change offset)matched a factory 6 lug 20" wheel you would be good.

If the width was wider and the NEW offset different, only on truck test fit would let you know.

I do not think there would be safety issues with quality adapters.
