Help Exhaust

Recommended Posts

I have a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado with 5.3 K&N intake and MBRP exhaust. Just found hole in exhaust today. I had MBRP on my denali and flowmaster on 2002 silverado. I think may just buy a muffler and use MBRP tips. I want something loud like my dads borla on corvette but not redneck crackly if that makes sense. Does anyone suggest a muffler and cheapest place to buy? Thanks for help in advance.

How loud are you looking for? Are you looking for a nice "roar" or do you want to be heard from miles away? @snowman44

Grumble at idle and unleash the dogs under acceleration. MBRP isnt bad just would like louder but once again dont like the redneck sound you hear out of dodges. Like I said my dad has a vette with borla and when you get into it loud but borla does not just sell muffler. No

I put a flow master super 40 series on my truck with the 4.8l and it has a nice grumble at idle and when I hit it it gets loud and sounds good. And it doesn't to the crackle sound unless you rev the engine in neutral, mines a single in dual out dump in front of the rear axle.

I've actually got a video of the sound of it on youtube the day after I got it done if you want to check it out. I'll attach a link

I just put a Flowmaster Delta 50 on my 5.3 a month or so back with stock pipes. I really like it! Advanced Auto parts always has a 15-20% off promo with free shipping over $75.00 as well.. Not a fan of the store but it does make the price nice!

I still got my cats and it sounds nice and it works exactly like I wanted it, you could also look into the super 44 or the super 10 if you want it really loud. Look on autoanything.com that's where I got my muffler for 60$
