How can I get more air and colder air out of my '97 suburban? I've cleaned out the blower housing and the compressor is working good. Had the freon checked and every thing is good. It blows out cold air, but even on high it doesn't blow out a lot. The blower motor might need to be replaced because it spins but it stops fast. Any ideas?

Your truck blows sufficiently cold air, just not enough air?

Definitely a blower motor issue. The motor should spin up quickly and coast down slowly. Its binding if the cage stops very quickly after shutting it off. The only way to really check and see if the motor is binding is by comparing the amperage it takes to spin the suspected bad motor as opposed to spec or a known good motor.

My 97 is an older generation but I had a blend door stuck which limited the amount of air coming out of my vents. You could hear my blower motor working hard. I fixed the door and now all is good.

I would try replacing your blower motor first. Fixing a stuck blend door can be a PITA.

Good luck.
