Yea, install should be a cake walk. Not sure when I'll get to the shocks. I want to go over my front steering and suspension components, and replace anything that's worn out, and get a front end alignment. I might just wait and install them then.

Got my new brake line and fuel pump installed today.

Easy to tell as the engine block is aluminum and think it has a b code in the vin.

That's correct. I didn't know these all corresponded with each other until finding the L33 RPO code in the glove box.

Yup same engine I have, it's got a little more hp then the standard cast iron flex engine.

what was wrong with the old fuel pump?! :rollin: Much better. How's the front end looking?

Nothing yet... It was corroded so bad it was starting to rust through the top, and the metal lines attached to the top were about to break any time. I figured I'd be better off to replace it now.

The front of the truck needs checked over yet. I know I'll be putting a new steering shaft in along with replacing any bad steering components. I also need to clean up the frame, and paint it too.

Agree on the pump. Good luck on the front. hopefully not too much needed.

Yea if it weren't for the corrosion I probably would have left it. As for the front I suspect it'll need a few things if not a lot. I was expecting a lot of work when I bought it because of the mileage. I'm just enjoying making it new again.

Got the underside of the bed painted today with the Chassis Saver. Also got the bed back on the truck. Just need to tighten up the bumper, and hitch bolts, and put the tail lights back in.

Whoever owns this truck after you is going to have a repolished gem on their hands!

Are you also planning on changing out the front end fluids? Tranny, t-case, etc.

Haha, unless my job changes I'll own this truck for a long time yet. It'll probably go to the junk yard after I'm done with it lol!

As for the fluids, I'm ordering some Amsoil transmission fluid today, and the transfer case fluid will be changed out within the next few months before winter.
