Forget what it considers aux. Just pay attention to the number. Thats where they will beat you. You cant have 4 factory and 4 aux at a time. Cant have 6 factory at once. 4 is the number that they will get you.

I ah ree with Chris. My state is the same way. No more than 4 forward facing lights at anytime. That's why I can't do the 6 high mod

never had a problem with cops or geting the truck inspected , we do live in the sticks so may be that has some to do with it ????

and when on low beam its only 4 lights on, and maybe its tought to tell on silverado that the highs and lows are ojn ????

Aux lights wired to factory brights put out plenty of light for me.

I live out in farmland on the edge of town. The statey's will get you for not clicking off your brights in a reasonable distance. When on high i run low/high. When on low i run low/fog. Only 4 at a time.

Yes. The 243 originated on the LS6. A dumbed down variety with heavier valves made its way to the LS2, L33, and LC9.

Figures I'd get the 799 heads then.

nice build did you do the high low beam mod to the head lamps yet ? i have a 2006 been done since i bought it gives you tons of light for a couple of diode's

The only difference between 243 and 799 is where the casting is from. 243 is from GM research and 799 is the outsourced casting. Head specs are the same. Some LS2's had 799's

So the 799 are the infamous castech heads? Just trying to clarify. How do you know which you are getting beforehand when buying used?
