larger aftermarket fuel tank?

This is a diesel tank for the 6 1/2 ft bed. I believe it will work with minimal modifications on a gas truck.

The Transfer Flow tanks are fabricated welded steel, where the Titan tanks are rotational molded HDPE (super tough plastic)

Not sure yet honestly. His family owns a metal shop and they do a lot of AC work so he's gonna see if he can get some thick enough aluminum and make it out of any large enough scrap pieces. I'll give updates as much as I get them

So i got a quote of $440 from a tank builder in Southern Cal. seems pretty reasonable. thats not including what it would cost to hook it up to the factory tank. also, not sure what would be the best way to hook it up to the factory tank. gravity or pump

our 1500s come with a 26 gallon tank the 2500 HDs come with a 36 gallon tank.

I wonder if you could fit the larger 36 gallon tank on the 1500s?

Yeah, at my age, I can't even drive the 26 gal out without stopping to piss. That's why I didn't buy the Titan tank.

The 8 ft bed 2500 is 36 gal. The 6 1/2 ft 2500 is 26 gal.

Yeah, at my age, I can't even drive the 26 gal out without stopping to piss. That's why I didn't buy the Titan tank.

I had an '01 Silverado, short cab, long box, with a 36 gal tank. With the 4.8 and a manual transmission, I could get 20mpg highway all day. That meant a 600+ mile range. Obviously my body needed to stop more often than the truck.

With my '15 Silverado (and formerly with my '11 F150) I do/did quite a bit of towing. At 10mpg and 26 gal, I have to stop pretty often. When I'm towing uphill or against the wind and the gas mileage drops down to 7'ish, the stops get pretty frequent and really annoying.

If I'm towing in a spot where the gas stations are far apart [70 miles between gas stations] I end up stopping and filling when I still have 1/2 a tank - pretty much every 100 miles or so.

The 8 ft bed 2500 is 36 gal. The 6 1/2 ft 2500 is 26 gal.

Negative ghost rider. Both boxes are 36 gallon since 2011 redesign of the HD trucks. 2010 and prior they were 34gal for 8ft. box and 26gal for 6ft. 6in. box.

Yeah, I just looked at the specs. I was actually looking at part numbers. Looking to see If a 36 gal 2500 6 1/2 ft bed 2500 tank might fit my 6 1/2 ft 1500.
