Alright, let me know how that goes! Drilling into the bull bar is my main concern. As well as I have another question I see your truck has some mods (looks sharp!) whats the offset you run and back spacing? Im looking for some rims but I dont want them to pass the fenders, how do yours sit? Thanks for the quick reply

You mean my black rims? They are the stock rims plastidipped so the answer for all your questions are stock everything.

I got on here today all excited to hear about the Bull Bar retro for the paring sensors... Then i realized Mike 1220 said the Holiday break not Thanksgiving break! I'm very cerious to see how its gonna work out but before i get to fired up I have to find out if this will still fit with a body lift of 1.2inches... Everyone is saying no but when you put the body lift on all you do is flip the brackets upside down! Any insight on the procedure!

Sorry man! Was hoping to get it done during Thanksgiving but hardly had the time to do the quick plastidip wok that I did. Plus with that I was able to do a little and then walk away for a few. I should hopefully have the time to do it over Christmas holidays. Decembe 13th the truck will come off the road for around 2 weeks. Should be able to do it during that time period.

I would save your money and just plasti dip the stock emblem. It removes easily from he grill and can be done very easy.

I would as well i did it the first time(red) i just saw to many in perfection look cool from away. Put im no painter/artists at all. I say drill it out put a nice billet bow-tie in and your done... GL tho. thats 7 months nothing to worry about. Do it right the first time

I like most didn't do a great job plasti dipping my first time, but you could watch videos and learn the right way to do it. Since I have done two sets of wheels, headlight trim, full grills and inserts and badges. If you do it right you will have a nice smooth matte finish or you can buy the glossifier and get a shiny finish.

I notice in your sig that it says you have the westin bull bar but when I look them up online they all have the "westin" script on that lower cage area. Am I missing something here?

Also, hows the fit and finish? Easy to install? Does it interfere with your parktronic at all?

It is a Westin bar. However I painted the bottom piece black (I actually truck bed lined it with Rustoleum bed liner from Home Depot this past weekend) and I painted the plastic piece that surrounds the tow hooks and the front license plate black as well. So the black on black pretty well hides the word Westin on the front. Makes it look like more of the cut outs that surround the word. Yes it does interfere with my parking sensors. It was easy to install although you have to remove the bumper to remove the factory tow hooks. Finish is great! Mine has a few scratches but I could easily polish the bar to hide the scratches. I use the bar as a step when looking into the engine compartment.

I haven't seen on yet (bull bar, light bar or push bar) that I would install on the front of my '14 Sierra Denali. Personally think all that I've seen are tacky-looking add on's but of course that's only my meager opinion.

Cool, have you done anything to your truck? My truvk is a tool and everything has its purpose. . I hope you prove me wrong

Not implying anyone is wrong here, just stating my opinion on what I feel is that the majority of bull bars I've seen for the '14-15 model Chevy and GMCs appear to be more focused on cosmetic appearance than actual brute strength. Likely I've not seen them all and I'm always looking for the right balance between looks and functionality.

 

That said, I too would like one but only if its well designed and durable in the sense I could actually push something with it while not having to worry about it folding or caving in and crumbling particularly those which are made using hollow metal tubes. Further a full replacement bumper is not what I'm interested in.

There is not nor am I aware of any Bull bars that were ever anything other than tubing. There is no practical value in making one out of solid bar. The issue is how thick the wall of the tubing is.

Last night we bought a new bed, took the tool box out to make the bed fit better... after getting the new bed in the house and the old in the truck i park the truck. Right over my tool box. Dumm me i kno. But the bull bar saved me big time. well now i need to go break the key in the tool box and go to home depot [emoji4]
