you have to remove the bottom bumper in order to remove the Tow hook... took me about an hr and 1/2..

then you're good to go...No need to remove the bumper since you can tight it up from the bottom..

Oh I bet! I did that on my old car a lot. I figured I would go with more name brand quality stuff. But I'm getting tired of that [emoji23] I'm about to go back to eBay! The bar I got was more expensive. I may return it and get yours!

I have it on my 2010 and for almost 4 years with no rust and no problem. I don't see myself buying the brand name one for couple hundred bucks more for the same quality..

Nope, I just move it up and use the bottom 2 holes of the license plate...

Mine, Just for bumper protection since people here in MA can't park for S**T . LOL

 

 

 

With Sensors:

 

Did you just drill into the guard for the parking sensors? Also did you just unplug the ones that are in the bumper and run the wires to the new sensors or what did you do?

I bought a set of 4 sensors and harness from Ebay for $150

Dealer/GM rep told me that the sensor would not work if you relocate them due to the distance calibrations of the sensors.. Well, I called BS

I Use 2 of the sensors and cut 2 plugs from the new harness and tap it to the 2 middle one, Then unplug it from the bumper sensors..

Before I drill it into the bar. I drove around with it zip tie onto the bar to see if it work. And yes, work with out a single problem.just like the factory one..

Drill the hole into the bar. Then use the Instant Gasket sensor safe .Black # 17 to seal around the sensor to prevent rust to the bar..

 

I still have 2 sensors and 2 plugs if you want to buy it off from me..

When you say harness, you're saying for the extra 2 right? Or did your truck not have the front sensor when you got it?

Where do the front sensors plug in at? I am looking at a front bumper replacement and it has sensors but my truck doesn't. Do you know where they plug in at so I can see if the connection is available? TIA.

When removing the front bumper, or just looking behind it. There is a plug that connects anything and everything electrical that is on your bumper, including sensors, fog lights, and anything else that may be in your bumper, to the truck. So my guess is you may have to change out that wire harness
