1992 Work Truck 4.3 V6

I went to NAPA to get a new serpentine belt for my 92 Chevy W/T with the 4.3L V6. I was asked whether it had an air pump on it or not. What should I look for to determine this? Is there any difference in the belt for one with and one withought?

I just did a quick search of Napa and it looks like you either have AC &/or a vacuum pump or it is without. Do you have AC? Do you have any other pulleys driving a pump looking thing under the hood? Depending on the options the belt will have to be longer or shorter. Is there any numbers left on the belt you have? They can use that to get you a replacement.

The parts store can also measure the old belt for a replacement.

I looked at the belt and didn't see any numbers. I recognise all of the things the belt is turning, AC compressor, power steering, ect. I've just never heard of an air pump before. I really didn't want to take the old belt off until I had the new one so it would be easier to remember how to put back on. Although, that is looking like the most probable solution. Thanks for the responses guys.

If you can provide your VIN, I could tell you what belt you may need. Or at least get you going in the right direction. I work for Dayco, and I'm also showing an option of with or without an Air Pump, as well as with or withour Air Conditioning.
