That's more in the ballpark. I'd like to put in the 2nd battery also, but want it to work like the oem isolator kit. I use the truck to power lights and stereo on my camp trailer through the 7 blade trailer plug and tend to run the battery down. Harbor freight's jump box is a friend of mine.

I dont think OEM is isolated

It is, there's a relay pack installed with it. There's a write up around the interweb somewhere on how to replicate without buying the high dollar aux harness.

I just looked around, it's only "properly" isolated for my purpose in a couple variations of the HD TP2 package, looks like a Cole Hersee isolator might be a better bet for starting battery isolation.
