schlegle1 Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 I keep looking around for the write up on how to remove the front headlight trim pieces (for painting) and how to remove the grille. Everyone says to look at the color match thread however when i look through it i can't find anything about removal. So i was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction as where to find a how-to on removing these things (preferably with pics) Thanks guys!

schlegle1 Posted June 13, 2014 Author Posted June 13, 2014 ok that grille one is great, still looking for a how to on how to remove the headlight trim (chrome trim) on my 2014 silverado. thanks guys!
Kennedy81 Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 The headlight trim pieces are taped on. They also have some small clips on the edges, you just have to be careful and pry them off.
schlegle1 Posted June 13, 2014 Author Posted June 13, 2014 We'll let me ask this then. Has anyone on here plasti dipped these trim pieces? And if so would I be better taking them off and doing them; then reattaching them or should I tape them off and do them that way?

20L8TSierra24 Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 I would just leave them on if your doing plasti dip +1. The last thing you want to do is crack or break them trying to get em apart
dgriffith Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 again they do break easily. a crack is the last thing you want then having to explain to dealer. they will want big $$$ for replacements.

Or just little pieces.
