wiring extensions??

So the hitch that came with my trailer is a long neck, which means my trailer cable could be about a foot longer. On hard right turns it will pull out of the connector. So I need to either replace the cable itself, or find a way to extend it a few feet.

 

Suggestions?

I've called 3 shops and the best I was offered was a 8foot 5th wheel extension

I was short about two feet. The trailer shop where I purchased my stuff sold the electrical cord by the foot. I bought a couple of feet and the plug-and they gave me a print out of what color wire went where on the plug. I used that extension for five years without issue.

4 pin? I picked up a 4 pin extension at advanced auto little over a month ago

A quick check on amazon and trailer didnt show much other the 5th wheel extensions but I would call your local trailer dealer. Or just add to the current wires

You can find the extension you are looking for at Auto zone, Advanced Auto, and Wal-Mart. I just picked up an extension at Wal-Mart a few days ago. They are usually hanging right above the hitch balls and receivers.

Already bought 4 feet of wire and spliced it in. Works great.
