Front Door Lock Problems

I have a 2010 GMC 2500 and I noticed today that my drivers side door is not locking. It doesn't lock at all when hitting the switch, remote, or when going in to drive. I noticed it when I walked into work today so I have not got a chance to look at it at all but I'm thinking it is the actuator in the door because I believe the other doors are working fine. Am I thinking on the right track? If I am right, I have never done this type of work on a vehicle before. How hard is it? Also, whats the price on a fix like this?
