new 2014 - rust on frame - help

Hello,

I just bought a new silverado last week. So far I have appx 900 miles. I really love it so far, it rides great, and has more than enough power to pull my 30ft camper.

A day or so after I brought it home I noticed some rust on the frame. Im wondering if this is a big deal, or if all of them truly do it. I have contacted the dealer and I am aware of the TSB. The dealerships act like they have never heard of this issue, and they have not done the TSB fix. Im a litte concerned about being the first one. Right now they are ordering the materials to repair it, but do not know how long that will take. I bought a BRAND NEW $45,000 truck and dont really want some aftermarket undercoating job done on it.

Has anyone had the TSB done, and are you happy with the results? The rust seems to only be around the sharp edges on the frame, and the front suspension area. Its not horrible, but i noticed it.

Im having a hard time enjoying my new truck with this rust on the frame. Just looking for advice from others whether or not this is truly a major issue or is going to cause problems down the road. Ill try to get some pictures attached.

Mine doesn't have any rust on the frame. So no, they don't all do it. Even up north, a truck shouldn't already have a rusty frame when you figure even the oldest K2's are just over a year old.

Not a major issue, won't cause any problems down the road, it is a frame under a truck it will be alright just drive it.

LOL, my 2011 with 20K is showing this in spots. Only a matter of time, if you live in a salt area, your frame will be worse.
