Rims and Tires - need some input

im trying to pick out some new rims and tires for my 14 sierra in stealth grey, the stock rims are driving me nutts... i got the 17's and im not a fan.

im kinda hooked on the Pro Comp Metal Mulisha the Series 7113 Deegan, but i dont like the centercap, its basically a stand off of the center, ide like a good quality name brand rim that looks similar to this but you can see the lug nutts so i dont have a big center cap that could get lost or easily broken off.

i was also looking at the rockstar rims, but it seems like that is the rim everyone will be rolling on soon.

next ive got to pick a tire size, im going to be going for a A/T tire, something i can use all year round which being in canada means half snow half dry highway. it is my daily driver and i dont feel like swapping rims back and forth, ive outgrown all the effort that goes into seasonal tire swaps and wrenching on a daily driver.

i may put a 2" leveling kit on but not right away, i want to get a few more km on the truck(about 1 week old) before i start making changes like that. so i basically want to go with a bigger tire size but not something that will cause rubbing issues with stock height.

so what diameter tire fits? stock my 17's come with 255/70/17 which is a 31.1" and i looked up the stock 20s being about a 32"... so will 34's fit?

Look at the "post your 2014 wheel and tire set up" thread and the leveling kit pinned thread at the top. Numerous pages dedicated to these questions. Don't know how to copy links from phone, but these are always among the top threads on this page.

i saw that thread, its all info on trucks with the leveling kit installed, i wont be doing that kit right away and want the biggest that will fit at stock height.

i think i figured it out though, i can go 33.5 without rubbing at the biggest without the lift so ill look at 33 to 33.5".

any input on the rims? im taking suggestions.

Anything but the Rockstarts you alluded to in your previous post (or the Pro-Comp rims you posted for that matter (shudder)).

If you want wheels in that style, just check out what some brands have to offer. Most are a branch of a parent company and made by the same manufacturer.

Some examples of brands that offer the style you're looking for:

Mayhem

ION

Black Rhino

lrg

Ultra

American Racing

Ballistic

These are just a few, plenty more out there. You just have to look.

As far as tire size on a stock height, I think you're probably right about 33 to 33.5 inches. But keep in mind that that is just the height. Width is going to play into it as well as backspacing and offset of the new wheels you decide to acquire.

Rockstar's newest II Black Machined is one of the most attractive out there, as well as American eagle Allow wheels.

check Ion Wheels

XD wheels (awesome wheels)

LRG rims and Dip Wheels

American Force

even V Wheels and Vision wheels have good ones.

Some articles on 4wheelonline truck wheels have good info on choosing especially if positive of negative offset is the best.

thanks for the input guys, im not in a big rush, i just want to make sure im 100% happy wit them even if i pay a little more for better quality, i know the owner of a rim and tire shop so i get cost plus 5%, also the dealership said if they areable to get the make model and tire i want its at cost since i just got my 4th vehicle from them and i have one other buddy with a car audio shop who said some rim brands he can order but doesnt know prices because he never has.

i think i should grab my tonneau cover this week then get rims.
