DLS-001 Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 Anybody here have any experience with Dyno Beads or a similar product? I've heard good reviews (and it's cheap enough to try) but I wanted to double check. I'm having a slight high speed vibration that's a little bit annoying with the new wheel/tire setup... already rebalanced (road force) and it helped but trying to get it perfect.
Kennedy81 Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 I've been using them in motorcycle tires for the past couple of years without issue.
corwest Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 Never heard of them but pretty interesting concept Sent from my SM-N900T using Tapatalk
Prosnowsk8er Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 I also use them on my motorcycle and they work great!
FormerFordGuy Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 I've never heard of dyna beads. At my work we use a similar product called equal in our semi tires and it works. I don't see why dyna beads wouldn't work too.
Silveradooh9 Posted August 11, 2014 Posted August 11, 2014 Sounds interesting, but I don't know if i'd want to spend the money on em. . .
SkippyG4 Posted August 11, 2014 Posted August 11, 2014 We have them in both of our 2014's on 20" Rims and 35" tires. work great.
sdeeter19555 Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 I've used them in pickup truck tires...results will vary. I had good luck with it twice, and no luck with it twice. I almost think it depends on the tire (one that is mostly true will balance better than one not so true) and suspension (better suspension keeps the beads from getting thrown around at every bump). Its one of those things that you try and if it works great, if not your out about $50 to dismount, remove the powder, and balance normally. I personally wouldn't do it again, although I did get over 150k out of a set of lt265x75r16 michelin LTX A/S on the truck that it did work.
EaZ8 Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 I've been using them in motorcycle tires for the past couple of years without issue. Ive heard of some guys using them on track bikes, this makes it so they dont have to tape wheel weights on. i was lucky, my PP3's i put on my cbr balanced perfect without any weights for the rear tire, front needed 1.
TimmyG Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 Used them on my bike, had great tire wear. If they dont work you probbly just need another oz of beads
