Hey guys, new here, but I have a 2014 Silverado LTZ. I'm carrying over my Valentine 1 from my Camaro, and I'm looking for a power source. In my Camaro, I found a fuse that had retained accessory power, and I just used an invisicord and a fuse tap and tapped off of that fuse.

Has anyone been able to locate a fuse in the fuse box on the side of the dash that has retained accessory power?

I have seen that it has been done. Someone will post exactly how soon.

Left IP fuse box. fuse labeled "APO 1/LTR" or "APO 2". May also be labeled "F12DL" and "F1DL" Both 15A fuses.

Outstanding, thank you very much! I will give that a try tomorrow and update this thread with some pictures.

Looks like those two fuses are not the traditional type of fuse. I don't think my fuse tap is going to work on them. Any recommendations on how to power my valentine 1 off of retained accessory power?

Try this. I wired my remote wire for amp here with the smallest female connector u can find. I dont see why u cant wire anything else there. Also in the fuse box under the hood #39 i think is RAP and you will need a micro fuse tap.

Thanks I'm going to try this next.

Hey where did you get your spade connectors from to fit those terminals?

I used the same spot for my radar detector. I cut a regular female spade in half, squeezed it down with some pliers till it fit pretty snug, and then put some heat shrink on it to insulate it from contacting the other pins.

Ok, I got it to work. I used the same insulated spade connector that came on my invisicord. I just adjusted it a little bit so it would fit onto the post. For some reason though, I couldn't get either of the grounds to work, so I simply picked one of the bolts that goes into the truck body and attached it using a wire ring terminal. Works great now!
