So what does everybody think are must do mods when you first receive your truck? I am picking up my 2014 GMC Denali 6.2 White Diamond Tricoat next week and just want to see if I have anything missing so far. Below is a list of what options are already on the truck and what I plan on adding.

Already on truck:
Spray in bedliner

Rough County level kit

Window tint

WeatherTech Floor Mats

Plan on adding:

6.2 CAI

Remove plastic airdam

Mud Flaps

Head light upgrade full HID swap with projectors

Plasti dip factory rims black

Remove factory side steps

Add new tow mirrors

Interior lighting addition including floor lighting

Xpel protective film on front bumper and hood

xpel film, maybe tow mirrors, thats about all i'd pay for. you dont need a cai, and it looks like the other things you want to add are your own personal touch which no one here can tell you yes or no.

Says who he doesn't need a CAI? That is a personal mod along with others, one that people will always argue back and forth on the benefit. I have one on my truck and love it, truck picked up power and gas mileage when I added mine.

Add the automatic tail gate lock. Love mine! Can you send me the info on the HID Head light upgrade please. Can't see anything with my Denali.

Definitely, the very first thing I'd recommend before you put the first 100 miles on it and chip it. A "clear bra" of some kind to cover the front bumper, grill surround, front of the hood, and anything else painted facing forward. Best money you'll spend, IMO. If you have dogs like I do, you might consider some clear film under all the windows to prevent dog collars from scratching the paint. My last truck was scratched all to hell under the rear windows. My new truck and my wife's new Flex got clear film under the windows as well as the front ends.

The next most immediate thing on my list was fixing the poor headlights. HID is the way to go. Even HID conversion in the factory projectors (SLT or Denali) will work very well. If you're still not satisfied, a full retrofit of a well known projector will be in the cards.
