Auto Dim Mirror ?

I haven't had a GM truck in a while and my previous 3 were Toyota. All the same (tundra).
My question is a little silly I admit but its bothering me.
Do these trucks only have auto dimming on driver side?
My passenger side mirror does not change as the driver side does. I looked at it today in detail and can see clearly there is an outline on the driver mirror of the section that dims and the passenger side mirror does not have the same outline. Just curious as I always thought both sides would dim or whatever the technical term is for it when the door mirror darkens at night.
Mostly just curious if that is the way they all are or if somehow I got the wrong passenger side mirror?

Never driven a vehicle where both dimmed- it's always been driver side only. Donno why, guess I never thought much about it since they were rentals.

Pancepance how does your truck compare to the tundra ??

I appreciate the response. I could have sworn that the tundra had dimming on both sides. I never remember thinking that the passenger side lights in mirror seemed brighter than the driver when using at night. I suppose its possible but I cant remember noticing the way I do with this one and I'm fairly ocd so I normally notice things such as that.

355Z, I think this truck and any of the Tundras are very different. Some ways better, some ways worse. Its hard to compare exactly, the gmc is more luxurious vs. the tundra which felt much more truck-like.

The gmc definitely has more bells and whistles than were available on the tundra but some of the gmc's stuff seems almost too gimmicky. I had no issue with any of the Tundras. I was just let down with their "all new '14 model" when I was looking to replace my last one. Didn't seem that they did much other than some upgraded interior and body panels. The tundra mpg were terrible and the gmc advertised better economy. The gmc interior is nicer than the tundra in my opinion although '14 tundra was much better than my '11 was.

I don't dislike the gmc and i'm sure some of the issues I have are due to being a 1st model year truck. The gmc has definitely had more service issues. In 3 years and 200k miles the tundra needed non-regular maintenance service a total of 1 time. The front diff had to be repaired. The gmc has had several service issues and only has 12k mile in 5 months and its going back again for a 4wd issue next week. Probably too early to compare them but thus far the gmc seems to require more maintenance than the tundra did.
Gmc: rides like a Cadillac, looks better, better mpg, nicer cab layout, more options, gives option of regular length bed and true double cab, better looking (my opinion), bigger options selection, tows better (partly due to longer wheelbase), no easy supercharger option (yet),

Tundra: rides like a truck, looks same as all the other since '07, lousy mpg, less cab layout options, more truck feel overall, only lets you have mini-bed with true double cab, easier supercharger option with trd, little option selection (you get what comes on a certain package and that's it)

The passenger's side is farther away but also slightly convex so the glare from it isn't nearly as bad as the driver's side--basically it's not needed on that side.
