HID question

Assuming our trucks are the same aside from you having factory projectors....What kit did you buy, what components

 

They have a Sierra and a Silverado spec kit that comes with everything you will need. I recommend purchasing from The Retrofit Source. Their customer service has always been top notch for me and they will answer any questions that you may have.

 

I purchased the Sierra Spec Morimoto Elite Kit with the 50W ballasts and 6500K bulbs because I also purchased the Morimoto XB LED fog lights and I was trying to match their color. You may know this already but if you are using 50-55W ballasts then the color temperature is 1000K less than is stated. The color temp of the fogs were around 5000K so I figured somewhere around 5000-5500K would be a close match, hence the 6500K bulb color. They match very well.

 

I will tell you that you may have problems using the plastic female plugs that they send with the kit. When I first installed mine I had issues getting everything to work properly so I took the female plugs off and just stuck the small wire prongs into the stock wire harness and all my issues went away. I have found in my experience with HID kits that 90% of all issues are caused by not having good connections.
