I plan on going with led taillights & led 3rd brake light eventually.. So im lookin online at the led 3rd brake lights for my 2014 silverado and all the ones i look at come without a plug and play, it comes with just 2 wires on the end.. I'm kinda hesitant about cutting wires from my stock wire setup splicing them together already on a new truck.. I rather just a simple plug & play led 3rd brake light.. Has anyone installed one on there truck yet or how yours came and how you hooked it up? also where did you order it from, thanks

I don't think that there are any plug and plugs yet that are specific to our trucks.

You could just change the bulb to an LED bulb. That's what I did and it was good enough for me. Instant on like an LED and it'll last forever. And it looks better IMO.

ok cool thanks. i may just go that route, id just have to smoke it to match the smoked led taillights i plan on getting also.

^^ that's what I did. I replaced the cargos and 3rd brake light all with LEDs. Also I changed regular brake lights to full LED replacements. Looks much better than stock.

LED bulbs are great for this. I replaced all 3 bulbs (2 cargo +1 brake) and I also replaced the reverse light bulbs. They look great IMO

I ordered a 921 which is a 194 red led for the third brake light and got it today and the cargo leds work but not the 3rd brake light bulb. I turned it around a few times and still nothing. Any ideas?

look to make sure that contact is being made. Also try flipping the metal contacts on the bulb to the opposite side of the wedge from where they are currently. I've had that happen to me a few times

Thought I did but will again and I will try plugging into cargo light plug and make sure it's not the bulb.

When you unplug the factory 3rd there is enough wire to cut the plug off and connect to your aftermarket third. No reason to mess with the plug coming out of the cab. Easy installation. I have an ANZO 3rd until Recon comes out with theirs to match my tails.

do you have any idea when recons is coming out? and how do you like the anzo? it looked like the cargo lights sucked in pictures and weren't very bright
