My dealer just received my truck I ordered it on September 29. I like the 2015 blue much better than last year’s blue.

I am not a big fan of the polished aluminum wheels. Not what I ordered but had no other option. I heard something about the chrome factory in China was destroyed by fire.

 

The first thing to go before it even leaves the lot is the tires. I can't believe GMC uses the Goodyear Eagle LS-2 tires on a $58000 truck. What a total POS tire. Michelin tires have been ordered.

The real tires will be installed tomorrow and I should be able to pick it up.

 

I am currently driving a 2010 Sierra SLT with a 5.3/ 6-speed and it was a gear hunting fool when I was towing. This should be a slight upgrade.

Awesome looking truck. I wish I could've got the All terrain in blue last year when I ordered mine. Still haven't seen a blue 2015 AT so maybe you still can't get one.

Thanks for posting the pics, I have not seen a good pic of the color as of yet. The swatch at the dealership doesn't appear to be close, but I am looking forward to it now. Build date next week.

I still can't figure out why GM doesn't give the option for retractable steps on the Denali. I don't think I'll ever get use to the size of those things. I agree with u on those polished wheels and crap tires. I have a local chromer that specializes in OEM wheel exchanges. I think I may need to do it and get different tires. What kind of Michelins did u get?

thats a really nice truck, i agree though im not a fan of those rims or tires...

i cant believe the Denali is only 58k in USA....i saw some All Terrains at my dealer with a 58k sticker with no leather...

Michelin LTX MS/2, it has been one of the best tires I have owned in the past.

I guess GM thought it would be cute to have "Denali" on the edge of the wheel. Well that pretty much kills trade in or resale value of the wheels. I going to ask dealer if I can trade chrome wheels from another 5.3 Denali.

Wow, the color looks great. I have a stone blue 2015 CC, AT, short bed, SLE, 5.3 on order with a build date the week of 11/17 so this just really makes me look forward to getting mine even more!

      Around 2008 if memory serves they took sulfur out. That was when diesel went up.

      Question for you Grumpy, why is diesel so much more than gasoline? Seems to me that it may be slightly a little less refined than gas and it doesn't have 10% alcohol which presumably lowers the price of gas

      How many years have I pointed out every point in that link to the folks here and been avalanched with criticisms and outright hostilities at times? I ran counter to even the great CUSTOMBOSS and Lake Speed Jr and the half dozen experts on YouTube and in the final.....GM, Physics (Stribeck) backs that Grumpy old Bear.    Honestly, I never said a thing engineering hadn't studied silly and laid in concrete during WWII. But I'm old, the information is old and yet, the Laws of Physics are eternal.    Okay there is one exception. I vehemently disagree with their use of the word 'tolerances' when what it meant is "clearance".   The clearance is the distance between two objects. The tolerance is the degree of acceptable variation permitted in that clearance. I.E., piston to bore clearance is 0.004" with a tolerance of +/- .0002" so the clearance is in specification if it lies between 0.0038" and 0.0042". Cutting that 'tolerance in half has ZERO impact on lubrication requirements. Makes for more difficulty in manufacturing.  But a tighter clearance 'MAY'. Depends on finish. Anyway....   It's one of those statements made by people to make themselves look smarter than they are to convince people who are as un-enlighten as they seem to manipulate their behaviors. But hey, the blind leading the blind puts them both in the pit.

      Out and about yesterday on a long Saturday drive I passed a lot of Shell stations. My preferred, so I pay attention. Lot's of small town Illinois so not six stations in three blocks like the city.    Everyone of them over a radius of say 100 miles had regular at $4.19 but one which was the one closest to home at $4.15. However Premium pricing varied greatly between 85 cents over regular to $1.50 over. I'm not counting the price of the station with the lowest regular so the reference is the same for the remainder and all within the same brand. However the spread discrepancy holds across all brands.     @txab, any thoughts on that?
